Our BABE(Hons) program equips you with the abilities to succeed in a rapidly evolving, interconnected world economy. You can pair any of our nine engineering concentrations with diverse offerings in arts, social sciences, cultural studies, and languages. Every Engineering specialization is approved by Engineering New Zealand, ensuring international recognition of this qualification.

You have the option to pursue either a Bachelor of Arts in Economics or a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics (possibly combined with another relevant major). Introductory courses cover fundamental microeconomic and macroeconomic principles. Microeconomics examines how individual consumers and businesses make choices, along with market-based resource pricing and distribution. Macroeconomics analyzes aggregate economic indicators like employment levels and currency values. Both disciplines explore the relationship between governmental policies and market results.
