Through a BABCom conjoint degree, you can merge fundamental business studies with diverse humanities, social sciences, languages, and cultural subjects. This program equips you with vital competencies to navigate and succeed in our rapidly evolving global economy. Your acquired expertise will open doors to various career paths and professional environments. Typically spanning four years, the BABCom allows you to select one or two majors for the BA portion, with four to five BA courses annually. Additionally, you may opt for up to two modules. The BCom segment includes seven mandatory Stage I courses before specializing in your chosen major(s). This conjoint degree cultivates valuable career assets like sophisticated communication abilities, analytical and innovative problem-solving, research proficiency, adaptability, and multicultural awareness. You'll gain the tools to capitalize on emerging opportunities across evolving societal, technological, and commercial landscapes.
For TESOL studies, you can pursue either a Bachelor of Arts with a TESOL major or a Bachelor of Education specializing in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. A BA TESOL major provides foundational concepts for future teaching qualifications, which can be paired with another complementary BA discipline. The curriculum offers insights into English and second language acquisition from an instructional standpoint. Beginning with linguistic analysis and teaching methodologies, you'll progressively advance to designing comprehensive language instruction materials, lesson plans, and course structures.
