The BABCom conjoint program allows you to blend fundamental business studies with diverse humanities, social sciences, and language disciplines. This combination equips you with vital competencies for navigating today's dynamic global economy, preparing you for various professional paths. Typically spanning four years, this program lets you select one or two majors for the BA portion while taking four to five BA courses annually. Additionally, you may opt for up to two modules. The BCom component begins with seven mandatory Stage I courses before specializing in your chosen major(s). This dual-degree approach cultivates valuable career assets like sophisticated communication abilities, analytical reasoning, research proficiency, problem-solving techniques, flexibility, and multicultural awareness. You'll gain excellent preparation for emerging opportunities across evolving social, technological, and commercial landscapes.
Pursuing an English major within the Bachelor of Arts exposes you to global English literature spanning from medieval times to contemporary works. You'll explore texts' cultural significance throughout history, investigate diverse reading approaches, and examine how identity factors like gender and race shape both authorship and interpretation. The program emphasizes textual analysis techniques while sharpening your critical evaluation skills. You'll also have chances to enhance your personal writing abilities, including creative composition opportunities.
