Economics is offered to undergraduate students through both the Business School and Faculty of Arts, leading to either a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics (possibly combined with another relevant major). Introductory Stage I courses cover microeconomics and macroeconomics fundamentals. Microeconomics examines individual and corporate decision-making processes, market-based resource pricing, and allocation mechanisms. Macroeconomics analyzes aggregate economic indicators like employment levels and currency valuation. Both disciplines explore the dynamic relationship between governmental policies and market performance.
