The Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) program is tailored for aspiring researchers and future scientists. Ideal for students aiming for postgraduate studies, this degree can be paired with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) to merge scientific expertise with legal disciplines like environmental policy, human rights, or medical law. Modern scientific breakthroughs are tackling 21st-century societal issues, while legislators create frameworks around emerging fields like climate policy, biotech, and genetic research. This synergy drives demand for legally-trained scientists and science-literate lawyers. Graduates of the BAdvSci(Hons)LLB(Hons) dual degree gain versatile career opportunities across both fields. Beyond core legal competencies from the LLB program, honors graduates develop superior research and writing capabilities, qualifying them for policy and research roles. Career paths span environmental law, patent law, medical jurisprudence, or scientific sectors including biotech, IT, and forensics. For legal practice admission, graduates must complete a three-month Professional Legal Studies course post-LLB(Hons).
