These skills enable them to work ethically, responsibly, and sustainably across diverse business environments while upholding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. This three-year full-time degree (or part-time equivalent) equips students for accounting positions at operational and strategic levels in various industries. Career opportunities span financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, taxation, treasury, banking, finance, risk management, and business consulting across both private and public sectors. The NZQA-recognized qualification holds full accreditation from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) and CPA Australia. Students who complete the New Zealand Diploma in Business (Level 5) Accounting Strand may receive credit for the first year and progress directly to Level 6 studies.
