The Visual Effects program equips students with specialized knowledge for crafting extraordinary characters and environments across all screen formats. This major prepares you with the techniques to build an impressive professional portfolio for your future in visual effects. Master the creation and manipulation of digital destruction, pyrotechnics, fluid simulations, and more through both procedural and keyframe animation, while learning to seamlessly blend effects with live-action footage from initial concept through final post-production. Develop expertise in bringing imaginative characters and worlds to life using both classical methods and cutting-edge tools. The curriculum covers character creation, 3D asset development, surface detailing, skeletal systems, visual storytelling, image integration, and physics-based simulations. Students gain hands-on experience with performance capture technology, virtual filmmaking techniques, and chroma key studio production.
All students must meet university entrance requirements to be admitted to the University.
