The Bachelor of Animal Science (Animal Nutrition and Growth) provides insights into how dietary intake influences animal development and wellbeing. New Zealand's meat sector is globally renowned for its grass-fed livestock, while also boasting advanced poultry and pig farming operations. Proper nutrition plays a vital role in enhancing the capabilities and wellness of both athletic and household pets. Optimizing dietary plans can significantly boost animal productivity across these sectors. This program teaches the digestive processes in animals, optimal feed selections, and proper portioning for ideal growth, performance, and health outcomes. Graduates will gain hands-on experience and contemporary scientific knowledge about animal development and dietary needs. Introduced in 2020, Massey University's Bachelor of Animal Science (BAnSci) stands as New Zealand's sole degree dedicated exclusively to animal science, perfect for those pursuing careers at the intersection of scientific inquiry and animal care.
