Engineering technologists specialize in hands-on design and practical technology applications, spanning various engineering fields. The Bachelor of Engineering Technology equips students for versatile roles in the engineering sector.

This program is accredited by Engineering New Zealand, a Sydney Accord signatory, qualifying graduates for Technical Membership. Strong industry connections with organizations such as Fisher & Paykel, Beca, Opus, Spark, Vodafone, Sky TV, and Contact Energy provide opportunities for practical work experience during studies.

14 credits or more at Level 2 or above (including AS91261 and AS91262) OR NCEA Level 3 in Maths, Stats or Calculus AND
14 credits or more at NCEA Level 2 or above in Physics
CIE
A D grade or better in Mathematics and Physics at AS level
IB
Passes (level 4) in both Mathematics and Physics
Applicants who qualify for entry by other means must demonstrate competency in mathematics (algebra) and physics at least to level 2 or equivalent. This could be:

A completed or partially completed New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (NZDE) or National Diploma in Engineering (NDE), or
Any other recognised certificate or national certificate containing mathematics and physics to the required level.
International Baccalaureate (IB) with successful completion of a minimum of 24 points.
General Certificate of Education (GCE) with three A-levels including at least one C grade or better. A result in General Studies cannot be included among the 3 on which the application is based.
A minimum of CCC scores (7 points) across the NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY)
Acceptance of the NCUK English for Academic Purposes qualification as an alternative to meeting the English-language requirements, with a minimum of a C grade overall and no less than D grade in each component.
IELTS (Academic) 6.0 overall with all bands 5.5 or higher, or equivalent. TOEFL IBT 80.
