Qualification Requirements

NCEA: At least 14 level 3 credits in each of Calculus and Physics
CIE: A level Mathematics and a minimum of AS in Physics OR A level in Physics and a minimum of AS in Mathematics
IB: A grade of 4 or better in Mathematics and Physics
Applicants who qualify for entry by other means must demonstrate competency in calculus and physics at least to level 3* or equivalent. This could be:
A completed or partially completed New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (NZDE) or National Diploma in Engineering (NDE) with a B+ GPA, or
A completed Bachelor of Engineering Technology with a C+ GPA, or
Any other recognised certificate or national certificate containing mathematics and physics to the required level.

International Baccalaureate (IB) with successful completion of a minimum of 24 points.

General Certificate of Education (GCE) with three A-levels including at least one C grade or better. A result in General Studies cannot be included among the 3 on which the application is based.
A minimum of CCC scores (7 points) across the NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY)
Acceptance of the NCUK English for Academic Purposes qualification as an alternative to meeting the English-language requirements, with a minimum of a C grade overall and no less than D grade in each component.
IELTS (Academic) 6.0 overall with all bands 5.5 or higher, or equivalent. TOEFL IBT 80.
