AUT's Bachelor of Construction program is designed to provide students with comprehensive, industry-aligned skills for pursuing careers as construction managers or quantity surveyors in both domestic and international construction sectors. These professions play crucial roles within the industry. The curriculum focuses on developing competencies demanded by the construction field, ensuring graduates are career-ready. The program is pursuing RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) accreditation, expected by late 2024. Students who complete both a Bachelor of Construction major and the Professional Practice minor will qualify for RICS recognition. The degree also offers flexibility to take additional minor or elective courses.
The Quantity Surveying specialization within the Bachelor of Construction develops expertise for this critical industry role. This major concentrates on construction contract administration, cost estimation, and financial oversight. Upon graduation with a Quantity Surveying degree, you'll possess the necessary qualifications to launch your career as a professional quantity surveyor.
