The Master of Taxation program equips students with comprehensive expertise in taxation principles, legislation, and practical implementation for both individual and corporate taxpayers across domestic and international contexts. Additionally, it serves as a pathway for students to pursue Ireland's premier professional tax credential, the AITI Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) designation, while gaining membership in the Irish Tax Institute. Over the past twenty years, tax practice has evolved into an increasingly intricate and vital field, generating vibrant career prospects for specialists worldwide. Developed through a partnership between the Kemmy Business School's Department of Accounting and Finance and the Irish Tax Institute, this program addresses the specific demands of the tax profession. Students benefit from a well-rounded, cohesive approach to tax education. Successful graduates may qualify for exemptions from portions of the Irish Tax Institute's professional examinations, contingent upon achieving required performance standards. As a multifaceted discipline, taxation intersects with legal frameworks, economic principles, quantitative methods, social sciences, and theoretical analysis. This program offers a unique chance for students to advance their tax knowledge beyond routine compliance matters, fostering a profound comprehension of the field's theoretical foundations.
