Immersive Software Engineering offers an innovative computer science program focused on hands-on learning. This accelerated four-year course combines Bachelor's and Master's qualifications (level 9) into one integrated degree.
Half your studies occur on campus through research-based learning in studio environments, working on team projects with ongoing evaluation rather than traditional exams. The remaining time involves paid industry placements where you tackle complex real-world challenges with leading organizations.
ISE presents a fresh approach to computer science education. Our mission is transforming inquisitive, imaginative individuals into exceptional problem-solvers and software engineers, equipping them with conceptual knowledge, methodologies, tools, and approximately two years of practical experience across up to five companies.
Software engineering offers extraordinary career prospects. Professionals in this field work globally across all economic and social sectors, developing solutions for critical local and worldwide challenges while enjoying both financial rewards and professional recognition.
During your four years at ISE, you'll undertake five paid industry placements. Each residency develops specific technical abilities through practical application. You'll join professional development teams, contributing to genuine projects as both a coder and problem-solver. The program alternates between campus-based learning phases and corporate residencies, providing dual mentorship from both academic and industry experts to optimize your learning experience.
