The Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) program delivers a comprehensive business education, covering essential disciplines like accounting, economics, risk management, insurance, human resources, and marketing. Students select a specialization during their second year's second semester. The curriculum combines theoretical learning with hands-on business projects and includes an eight-month industry internship.
Students also have the exceptional chance to pursue a dual degree with a top international business school. This pathway involves completing the first two years at Limerick and the final two at a partner institution in France, Germany, Poland, or Japan, while still benefiting from UL-organized internships. Graduates receive degrees from both UL and the partner school.
A unique feature of UL's BBS is its Cooperative Education Program, which includes an eight-month paid internship during the third year. This allows students to gain practical experience while earning industry-standard compensation.
The program also facilitates international study through the EU Socrates/ERASMUS initiative, with partnerships across Europe. Exchange opportunities are available to all students, including non-language majors, as many partner schools offer English-taught courses. Participation in these exchanges counts fully toward degree requirements.
