Data Science focuses on creating scalable techniques for managing and examining extensive datasets, aiming to extract valuable insights and practical knowledge for predictive analytics and decision-making support. The approaches used in Data Science often incorporate established practices from machine learning and statistics, applied to structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data types such as numerical values, text, and images. Data may come from diverse sources like IoT devices, sensor streams, social platforms, extensive text repositories, image libraries, video content, and more. Beyond machine learning and statistics, specialized methodologies tailored to each data format draw from fields like Natural Language Processing, image analysis, stream processing, and related disciplines.
