The Discipline provides guidance across a broad spectrum of medical fields. Those interested in a Structured PhD program should consult with the Head of Discipline.
With more than 30 core faculty members and over 40 honorary academics, the Discipline of Medicine also comprises clinical tutors, postdoctoral researchers, program managers, technical staff, and support personnel. Faculty members are deeply involved in all levels of the University of Galway Medical School curriculum, oversee an expanding selection of Master's programs, and mentor approximately 40-60 PhD and MD candidates at any time.
