The Master's in Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (MScCCAFS) equips dedicated students with advanced expertise in addressing climate challenges within agriculture and food systems. Delivered through the Ryan Institute alongside national and international partners, including One CGIAR's global research network, this program fosters a diverse learning environment.
We welcome students from all academic disciplines who wish to integrate scientific, technical, social, or policy approaches. Participants undertake a research project designed for potential publication, which can be conducted at University of Galway, their workplace, or through collaborative research placements.

NQAI Level 8 honours degree or equivalent to a minimum standard of Second Class Honours, Grade 1 or equivalent in an appropriate discipline is normally required.

IELTS: 6.5 overall, no less than 5.5 in any one component; Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE): 176 overall; Cambridge C2 Advanced (CPE): 180 overall; TOEFL: 88 overall (7 Listening, 16 Speaking, 18 Writing, 8 Reading); Pearson PTE: 61 overall, no less than 48 in any one component.
