The MSc Advanced Healthcare Practice and Research has two primary objectives:
First, it aims to enhance participants' ability to lead in teaching healthcare students. This program will equip them to become confident, independent clinical educators. Many healthcare practitioners express feeling unprepared for clinical educator responsibilities, often citing insufficient training in teaching methods, assessment techniques, and handling difficult student situations. Through this MSc, participants will refine their teaching, evaluation, and research capabilities in clinical settings, emerging as exemplary mentors who foster superior learning environments for educators, students, and patients alike.
Second, this program seeks to strengthen participants' research expertise within their specialized clinical fields. With growing focus on evidence-based approaches in healthcare, this MSc also develops professionals capable of applying, contributing to, and leading research initiatives that promote optimal clinical practices.
Career Prospects
Graduates of this MSc will be qualified for senior, specialized, and management positions within the HSE and nonprofit organizations. Academic teaching roles also become viable options. The cross-disciplinary learning approach prepares graduates with creative solutions for today's complex healthcare challenges.
