Insight's Web Science initiative concentrates on three key areas: (1) examining the Web's structure, evolution, content, and user interactions, along with the influence of foundational algorithms, protocols, and architectures, (2) developing and assessing semantic technology advancements for the Web's future, and (3) maintaining its positive societal impact across multiple domains.
We propose that establishing an interconnected knowledge network can support individuals, organizations, and systems in addressing both personal and shared challenges. This approach fosters innovation, enhances productivity, and connects the physical and digital realms by integrating developing sensor technologies.

Candidates for the degree of MSc by research must have reached a high honours standard (minimum H2.2 [or equivalent international qualification] for an MSc) at the examination for the primary degree or presented such other evidence as will satisfy the Head of School and the College of his/her fitness.
