This program is designed for individuals with minimal or no background in IT. It offers comprehensive academic knowledge and technical instruction in software design and development. Participants will gain expertise in essential software development tools and methodologies, along with specialized training in a chosen ICT (information and communications technology) field.
Career prospects span multiple industries such as web development, gaming, finance, telecom, healthcare, and energy. Recent graduates have secured positions at leading companies like Cisco and HP in Galway, as well as DCM Compliance in Limerick.
This programme is open to applicants who have a Level 8, 2.2 degree (or equivalent international qualification) from a recognised university or third-level college, and an IELTS score of 6.5 with no less than 6.5 in the writing ability band and no less than 6 in any other bands. (or equivalent international qualification).
English Language Requirements
IELTS: 6.5 overall, no less than 6.5 in writing and no less than 6 in any other one component; Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE): 176 overall; Cambridge C2 Advanced (CPE): 180 overall; TOEFL: 88 overall (12 Listening, 18 Speaking, 24 Writing, 13 Reading); Pearson PTE: 61 overall, no less than 61 in writing, and no less than 50 in any one other component.
