The GY301 Bachelor of Science program offers students the opportunity to explore diverse scientific disciplines before selecting a specialization for their four-year honors degree. This flexible approach is perfect for those passionate about multiple science fields who wish to broaden their knowledge before focusing on a specific area.
In the first year, students build a strong scientific foundation through modules covering Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Mathematical Studies, Computing, and Applied Mathematics.
During the second and third years, students can select from 20 specialized pathways, including Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Plant and AgriBiosciences, Botany and Plant Science, Zoology, Earth and Ocean Sciences, Physics and Applied Physics, Physics and Climate Physics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Computing, Data Science, Anatomy, Physiology, and Pharmacology.

Minimum Grade H5 in two subjects and passes in four other subjects at O6/H7 level in the Leaving Certificate, including Irish, English, Mathematics, a laboratory science subject (i.e. Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Physics with Chemistry (joint) or Agricultural Science) and any two other subjects recognised for entry purposes.
English Language Requirements
IELTS: 6.5 overall, no less than 5.5 in any one component; Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE): 176 overall; Cambridge C2 Advanced (CPE): 180 overall; TOEFL: 88 overall (7 Listening, 16 Speaking, 18 Writing, 8 Reading); Pearson PTE: 61 overall, no less than 48 in any one component.
