The Master of Science in Humanitarian Action has developed over 25 years, standing out for its cross-disciplinary, multi-sectoral, and global approach.

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected communities worldwide, revealing the precariousness of human systems. This crisis emerged during a period when global humanitarian mechanisms were already strained by multiple disasters. We now face extraordinary humanitarian demands driven by climate crises, complex political instability causing conflicts, worldwide migration patterns, and prolonged warfare. Prior to the pandemic, approximately 72 million individuals were forcibly displaced by violence, about 180 million required urgent humanitarian aid, and nearly one billion suffered from malnutrition globally. The pandemic's impact will undoubtedly differ significantly across different communities.
