The MSc in Human Computer Interaction equips students with essential competencies for careers in user experience and HCI. As Ireland's only program of its kind, it leverages the exceptional knowledge within the School of Information & Communication Studies to examine human-computer interaction through a social science lens.
This course emphasizes teaching students how to apply social science methodologies and theories to:
1) Create technology interfaces centered around users, and to
2) Analyze how technological designs influence human actions, attitudes, and feelings - examining both personal and collective impacts.

This programme is intended for applicants with an undergraduate degree in any discipline
An upper secondclass honours NFQ Level 8 or international equivalent is required
Applicants whose first language is not English must also demonstrate English language proficiency of IELTS 6.5
no band less than 6.0 in each element or equivalent
TOEFL IBT - iBT 90 no less than 21 in writing and at least 19 in every other section in the Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL.
