The curriculum begins with foundational courses in these fields, then progresses to specialized case studies drawn from our faculty's research expertise. While Irish musical traditions form a significant component - featuring modules like 'Irish Music in Film' and 'Contemporary Irish Popular Music' - the program maintains a broad international perspective.
This degree equips students with essential research skills for musicology or composition while fostering specialized knowledge and independent academic work. Participants join a vibrant research community with regular guest lectures.
