This master's program combines technical and technological manufacturing knowledge with innovation and entrepreneurship education, addressing global societal challenges like circular economy, industrial innovation, and sustainability. It's a dual-degree initiative organized by the EIT Manufacturing Master School, partnering UCD with leading European institutions including Aalto University (Finland), Ecole Centrale de Nantes (France), SUPSI (Switzerland), Grenoble INP (France), and TU Wien (Austria). Students begin their first year at UCD (entry university) and complete their second year at one of the partner (exit) universities mentioned.
The program offers four specialization tracks:
Additive Manufacturing for Complete Flexibility,
Zero-Waste Production for Circular Economy,
Digital Manufacturing for Innovative Networks,
Data Science and AI for Manufacturing Competitiveness.
The Additive Manufacturing specialization (AM) integrates manufacturing science (covering AM process physics), mechanical design (focusing on customization possibilities), and production management (emphasizing small-batch flexibility). Participants will develop advanced competencies in these domains throughout the program.
DURATION: 2 Years
