This intensive one-year Higher Diploma program introduces students to key psychotherapy approaches, psychoanalytic theory, and mental health practice. Serving as an excellent foundation for clinical psychotherapy training, UCD Psychotherapy provides four specialized MSc programs.

Open to applicants with a Honours Level 8 NFQ qualification or equivalent experience based prior learning
Most relevant to workers in the field of mental health practice and health work generally as well as those involved in education and social care provision but applicants from outside these fields are also most welcome
Relevant professional experience and qualification is welcome but not a prerequisite
Applicants will be interviewed and will be expected to show evidence of a commitment to the study of psychotherapy

IELTS - An average score of 6.5 over all components and a minimum of 6.0 in each band.
TOEFL IBT - iBT 90 no less than 21 in writing and at least 19 in every other section in the Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL.
