The Higher Diploma in Psychology is a rigorous two-year postgraduate program designed for graduates holding an honors degree in a field outside psychology, serving as a gateway to professional psychology careers.

Candidates for the Higher Diploma in Psychology must possess an honors degree (usually a 2.1 or above) or be in their final year of an honors degree program in any subject. Provisional offers may be made to current students, contingent upon their final degree outcomes. The program encourages applications from mature learners. Selection criteria include: 1) academic performance at undergraduate and postgraduate levels (where applicable), 2) accredited psychology coursework, 3) relevant work or volunteer experience in psychology, 4) professional background, 5) recommendation letters, and 6) the candidate's personal statement submitted with their application.
