Learning Italian unlocks outstanding career prospects across various business sectors and social spheres. As one of the world's most captivating languages, studying Italian offers the chance to spend a year in Italy - a country renowned for its beauty and cultural richness. At UCD, you'll dive deep into Italian heritage, exploring everything from Dante's works to modern Italian literature.

Our program welcomes both beginners and those with prior knowledge. In fact, most students start as beginners, so you'll find yourself among peers if you're challenging yourself with a new language. We highly recommend including a year abroad in your studies, as this immersive experience significantly enhances language proficiency and cultural understanding. For those interested in multiple languages with international study options, DN541 Modern Languages might be an excellent alternative.
