For students who love Mathematics in the Leaving Certificate, UCD's Applied & Computational Mathematics program equips you with crucial mathematical and computational abilities for modeling, analysis, and simulation. These skills are vital for tackling challenges in physical and life sciences, engineering, business, and finance.

Modern scientific and engineering problems are too intricate to solve without mathematical and computational modeling. These models provide precise, quantitative representations of real-world complexities. By combining mathematical analysis with computer simulations, we gain fundamental understanding. Beyond traditional STEM fields, modeling and simulation methods are now widely applied in social sciences, communications, business, and financial sectors.
