Civil Engineering focuses on planning, building, and preserving our physical surroundings and natural infrastructure.
This field encompasses creating structures like bridges, skyscrapers, highways, and reservoirs, along with managing water systems. Civil engineers leave visible marks across our landscapes while making significant societal impacts. Their responsibilities span environmental conservation, major construction initiatives, securing clean water supplies, devising wastewater treatment solutions, creating transportation networks, flood control measures, and developing foundations for various terrains.
At UCD Civil Engineering, students cultivate expertise in essential disciplines including structural planning, water resource management, transportation systems, and soil mechanics (geotechnical engineering).

International A Level - At least three subjects at A Level Grade C or better and Grade C or better in the remaining subjects at GCSE a total of six distinct subjects required.
