Business Commerce International (BCIT) merges a adaptable business curriculum from Ireland's premier business school with language proficiency and cultural awareness essential for thriving in global commerce. BCIT students gain a solid foundation in business management principles while developing the ability to analyze and critically assess commercial matters. To cultivate a genuinely international business outlook, one must engage deeply with cultural contexts beyond mere language acquisition. The program includes diverse literature and cultural studies from UCD's School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics, featuring modules like French New Wave Cinema, Spanish and Mexican Surrealism, Grimm's Fairy Tales, and Italian Film and Society, all designed to enhance both linguistic ability and cultural understanding.

Commerce International participants dedicate their third year to studies at one of our prestigious global partner universities. This compulsory overseas year forms a crucial component of the BCIT experience, providing exceptional chances for both personal and academic advancement through complete cultural and linguistic immersion. While challenging, research demonstrates that such multicultural exposure significantly enhances creative problem-solving and innovative capacities. During this third year, students may also opt for the BCIT summer internship program, earning academic recognition for this practical learning opportunity.
