At UCC, we provide a complete agricultural education, starting with core scientific principles, expanding into essential knowledge areas, teaching modern best practices using cutting-edge tools and technologies, and exploring the dairy business landscape. This program is designed to produce skilled, driven graduates who are exceptionally prepared to seize the abundant career prospects available.
Two customized Work Placement experiences (on dairy farms and within the industry) will strengthen your expertise and shape your professional growth. You'll apply best practices under the guidance of top professionals in the field.
Hands-on sessions, field excursions, commercial farm tours, evening workshops, and expert guest speakers will enrich both your education and overall student experience.
Work placements are a major part of this degree. These practical experiences culminate in a final year project (AG4001), where you'll apply your learning to real-world situations, testing and reinforcing the knowledge gained throughout the program.

Non-EU applicants are expected to have educational qualifications of a standard equivalent to the Irish Leaving Certificate
Duolingo English Test (DET): DET 120 with a minimum score of 110 in each individual section
