This one-year full-time or two-to-three-year part-time postgraduate program equips engineering graduates with advanced skills for designing contemporary computational products and systems. Information processing technologies now permeate every facet of modern living. The foundational concepts driving this new generation of products are rooted in Information Engineering. This program enables graduates to focus on core theoretical principles and practical applications concerning information creation, transmission, analysis, and utilization within engineering and scientific contexts.
Admission is normally restricted to graduates who have achieved an upper second class honours degree (2.1), or better, in engineering, science, computing, statistics, mathematics or a related discipline. Well-qualified candidates or industry professionals from other numerate disciplines who have sufficient knowledge of computational aspects of engineering and science, may also be considered.
