The Quantum Fields, Strings and Gravity program is a full-time, one-year Master's course offered by Trinity's School of Mathematics. This intensive program provides in-depth training in contemporary High Energy Theory and Mathematical Physics, covering subjects like string theory, conformal field theory, general relativity & cosmology, quantum field theory, and lattice gauge theory.
Participants will engage with pioneering research and complete their own Master's thesis under the guidance of the School of Mathematics faculty, renowned specialists in these areas. Designed to elevate undergraduates' expertise, the curriculum prepares students for doctoral research. Alumni frequently pursue Ph.D. opportunities both at Trinity's mathematics department and prestigious universities worldwide.
Applicants are expected to have a first Bachelor degree in Theoretical Physics or Mathematics or Physics with a strong Theoretical Physics component. All applicants must provide a personal statement detailing their interests and clearly indicate whether they wish to follow formal or lattice pathway on their application. The applicants should also provide their up to date transcripts and arrange for two recommendation letters. A possible skype interview may be required.
