The Psychology Conversion Course offers a pre-professional qualification on par with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI), this program enables students to advance to postgraduate studies, including research-based higher degrees, and specialize in professional psychology fields. This intensive two-year program combines lectures, tutorials, lab sessions, and research projects.
As graduates, you already possess many of the academic abilities required for success in this conversion course. Our primary goal is to support your transition into the psychology field while immersing you in this new academic discipline through interactive learning and dialogue. To achieve this, much of your instruction will occur in small group settings that foster active participation and collaborative learning.
The program's objectives include developing professional awareness of psychology as a career, understanding ethical standards and professional responsibilities, gaining advanced psychological knowledge, enhancing research skills (from problem identification to data analysis and presentation), and helping students identify their professional interests while preparing them for specialized training.
