The School of Linguistic, Speech and Communication Sciences provides diverse research programs culminating in either a doctoral (Ph.D.) or Master's degree (M.Litt. or M.Sc., varying by discipline). Renowned globally for exceptional research guidance, our School currently supports approximately 50 M.Litt./Ph.D. candidates spanning numerous research fields.
Typically, a Ph.D. requires 3-4 years of dedicated full-time study and dissertation work, contingent upon meeting progression benchmarks including annual reviews, confirmation procedures, final oral defense, and successful completion of the structured Ph.D. requirements (a 10-credit module). The M.Litt. program usually demands 1-2 years of full-time research.
