This academic program integrates language learning with the exploration of European, Middle Eastern, and North African history, politics, cultures, and religions. You'll develop comprehensive understanding of contemporary discussions surrounding Middle Eastern societies' cultural, historical, and religious aspects and their connections with Europe. The curriculum aims to equip you with proficiency in two languages along with their associated regional histories and cultures. Participants select one language from Arabic, Hebrew, or Turkish, paired with another from French, Spanish, German, Italian, Russian, or Polish. Most options (except French) can be pursued at introductory levels.
Applicants must have completed a high school qualification equivalent to the Irish Leaving Certificate. General matriculation requirements include pass grades in English, mathematics and a language other than English. Additional requirements may apply for some courses.
