This intensive three-year honors program is designed for dedicated individuals pursuing a professional acting career. Developed in collaboration with London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), the curriculum offers a hands-on, practice-focused approach to actor training. The Lir Academy features instruction from top UK and Irish theatre professionals, supplemented by masterclasses from internationally renowned directors, actors, playwrights, and producers. Throughout six semesters (two per year) or nine terms (three per year), students receive comprehensive training in acting methods, vocal technique, physical movement, musical performance, along with supporting studies in dramatic literature and script interpretation.
Applicants must have completed a high school qualification equivalent to the Irish Leaving Certificate. General matriculation requirements include pass grades in English, mathematics and a language other than English. Additional requirements may apply for some courses.
