Public affairs and political communication represents a specialized branch of strategic communication, concentrating on political elements ranging from election and referendum campaign management to political party branding, as well as supporting NGOs, charities, and nonprofit organizations with advocacy and issue-based initiatives. This field cultivates spaces for political discourse, transforming public engagement with elected officials into tangible policies and actions.

Graduates of our MAPAPC program grasp not just the content of communication but also its purpose and societal influence. They navigate the crossroads of political strategy, public policy, and civil society, employing diverse methods to communicate with intention and accountability.

A core component of the program is an Oireachtas internship supervised by a national parliament member. Running two days weekly across both semesters, this opportunity provides students with exceptional hands-on experience and a competitive edge in pursuing political careers.
