This program offers a career-oriented foundation in Creative Industries and Visual Culture concepts and applications. During the initial year, you'll explore diverse modern topics spanning arts administration, cultural governance, critical analysis, media regulations, and ongoing debates across creative disciplines like fine arts, graphic design, cinema, visual media, exhibition design, cultural institutions, digital platforms, philosophical aesthetics, identity studies, and global cultural perspectives. Following this foundational year, you'll specialize by choosing between the Creative Industries or Visual Culture track. The Creative Industries concentration covers cultural leadership, media regulations and creative economy policies, while the Visual Culture specialization focuses on artistic theory, historical movements in visual arts, and curatorial practices. Shared curriculum elements across all years examine how cultural expressions intersect with social frameworks, influencing broader conversations about governance, economic systems, and personal identity.
Beyond your chosen specialization, you can personalize your academic journey by selecting from numerous elective courses offered University-wide, including offerings in Linguistics, Performing Arts, Architectural Studies, Digital Media, and Event Management.
The curriculum blends academic knowledge with practical application through hands-on projects, professional internships, and guest lectures from industry experts. You'll frequently collaborate with students from creative practice programs, building valuable professional connections. Depending on your selected track, you may opt for the professional experience module (Industry Immersion) in your second year.
