The Master of Science in Strength and Conditioning program addresses the increasing need for highly trained professionals in this field. This postgraduate course offers a rigorous, practical curriculum that equips graduates with advanced expertise and coaching abilities in strength and conditioning. These skills prepare them to train elite athletes, recreational exercisers, and specialized populations. The full-time program requires two in-person class days weekly for one year. Instruction comes from faculty with extensive real-world experience training athletes at all competitive levels, including international competitors. In addition to campus-based learning, the program features guest lectures from globally recognized strength and conditioning specialists.
A Level 8 degree with a minimum Second Class Honours Grade 2, in a relevant field of study. Applicants applying for entry via routes other than those listed above will be considered on a case-by-case basis and in accordance with SETU Carlow’s Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) policy.
