Early Childhood Education and Care is a fast-expanding field in Ireland. This course aims to equip students, current professionals, and individuals passionate about early years education with the skills needed for leadership and management positions within early childhood services and policy development. The Master's program enhances participants' capacity to assess, oversee, and innovatively address key challenges and evolving trends in early years care policies and service delivery, while consistently prioritizing children's welfare.

Qualification Requirements
Entry requirements are a Level 8 degree, with a minimum of Second Class Honours, Grade 2 or equivalent in the following areas:
Early Childhood Education and Care
Applied Social Studies
Social and Community Studies
Youth and Community Work
Social Sciences or cognate area
Candidates with significant relevant work experience (as determined by SETU Carlow’s Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) policy), in addition to an honours primary degree in another discipline area may also be considered for entry.
