Horticulture is fundamental in shaping, preserving, and improving our surrounding environments. Professional horticulturists are essential in crafting stunning spaces for leisure and enjoyment. Skilled experts are indispensable for designing, constructing, and maintaining parks, golf courses, and both public and private gardens. Even the fresh produce vital for healthy living comes from horticulturists' expertise. This field offers diverse career paths, including garden center plant production, golf course maintenance, landscaping, and crop cultivation. SETU Waterford's BSc in Horticulture is a three-year, full-time program that prepares students for professional horticulture careers. The curriculum covers horticultural studies, includes work placements, develops business acumen, and allows specialization in two key horticulture disciplines. Throughout the program, regular visits to leading horticultural enterprises provide industry insights.
