The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) program offers an extensive selection of Humanities and Social Science disciplines, providing an education that matches arts degrees globally. Applicants intending to choose French PLC: a grade of H5 or equivalent, in Leaving Certificate French is recommended.
Applicants intending to choose Irish PLC: a grade of H5 or equivalent, in Leaving Certificate Irish is recommended.
Applicants intending to choose Spanish PLC: a grade of H5 or equivalent, in Leaving Certificate Spanish is recommended.
For those starting Spanish Beginner (ab initio), there are no special requirements.
Applying for the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) on the CAO:
You can apply for SE200 only ONCE. On acceptance of a place at Registration, you will be asked to identify your 3 equally weighted subjects to study in first year. Additional information will be advised at that point.

Students will have an opportunity within the first weeks of semester to change that selection, subject to availability.
All students whose first language is not English must be able to provide evidence that their spoken and written level of English is adequate for the programme for which they have applied. The relevant certified documentation to support this shall be provided as part of the application process. An approved English language qualification or test result (see below for list of approved qualifications and test results). The qualification or test result shall have been awarded no more than two years prior to the proposed date of enrolment. Substantial education (minimum one academic year) or work experience (minimum eighteen months) conducted through English and undertaken no more than two years prior to the proposed date of enrolment. Satisfactory completion of an interview process for entry onto the programme.
IELTS - 5.5 IELTS (minimum of 5 IELTS in each component), TOEFL Computer Based Test - 196 (min score of 15 in each component), TOEFL Internet Based Test - 70 (min score of 15 in each component), TOEFL Paper Based Test 550.
