This studio-based course enables students to create general drawings, detailed plans, and other construction-related projects. Lectures and site visits enhance understanding and support project development.
A mandatory work placement (minimum five weeks) in year 3 provides hands-on experience, helping students apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings. Academic staff and workplace mentors guide students, fostering familiarity with industry practices. The placement prepares students for professional roles by deepening their understanding of organizational procedures and technology.
In year 4, students explore specialized research areas relevant to architecture and the built environment. By investigating individual interests, they develop expertise in niche topics, gaining skills highly valued by architectural firms and related industries, enhancing their career prospects.
