The MSc in Strategy and Innovation is designed for individuals pursuing careers in general or executive management. The program enhances participants' existing education and professional background by cultivating advanced skills in strategic planning, innovation, leadership, and financial management. This master's degree combines structured coursework with a substantial practical research component, offering students comprehensive knowledge through academic modules followed by hands-on application in consulting projects, dissertations, or work placements. The curriculum incorporates cutting-edge research, with instructors helping students apply theoretical frameworks to real-world business challenges. Graduates emerge equipped to provide strategic value to organizations. The innovation curriculum provides analytical frameworks for identifying market opportunities, examining organizational innovation processes, and understanding how entrepreneurial approaches influence innovation. Leadership studies cover traditional and modern theories, addressing evolving workplace dynamics and the complexities of managing professional relationships. The financial management component teaches fundamental skills for interpreting financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow), assessing investments, and performing ratio analysis - regardless of prior financial expertise. The strategy curriculum has two key elements: first developing analytical skills for evaluating business environments and organizational capabilities in today's competitive landscape, then applying these concepts practically through the Strategy Live experiential learning component.

Qualification Requirements
Candidates must hold a Business, Management, or Marketing degree (level 8), or a Business-related degree (level 8), having achieved a minimum of a 2.2 honours (or equivalent) overall. Alternatively, you may hold a non-Business degree (minimum 2.2 overall, level 8) with at least five years work experience. International applicants must have a recognised primary degree which is considered equivalent to Irish university primary degree level. Exceptionally, consideration will be given to candidates who do not hold a primary degree, but who do have at least 10 years’ relevant work experience, at least three of which are in a management position. These applicants are managed through the Maynooth University Procedure for Non-Standard Entrants and Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning.
IELTS - 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in each band; TOEFL internet-based test iBT: 90 with no less than 21 in writing and at least 19 in all other sections; Pearson Test of English - 63 with no less than 59 for each item in the Communicative Skills section; Duolingo English Test (DET) - 120 with no less than 110 in literacy, conversation, and comprehension subscores and no less than 95 in production.
