For those drawn to accounting without a relevant undergraduate degree, this program offers an accelerated path to professional accounting. This intensive one-year conversion course matches the rigor and depth of a three-year accounting degree's core curriculum. Upon completion, graduates qualify for CAP1 exemptions from Chartered Accountants Ireland and gain exemptions from multiple ACCA professional exams (BT, MA, FA, LW, PM, TX, FR, FM), along with equivalent benefits from other accounting bodies. With only two exam stages remaining to become chartered accountants, graduates are ideally positioned to begin trainee accountant roles. Additionally, program graduates may pursue Maynooth University's one-year Masters in Accounting, which upon completion provides exemptions from Chartered Accountants Ireland's CAP2 examinations.

Qualification Requirements
Open to students with a 2.2 undergraduate degree in any subject. No prior knowledge of accounting is required. Applicants must have a recognised degree which is considered equivalent to an Irish university primary degree level.
IELTS - 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in each band; TOEFL internet-based test iBT: 90 with no less than 21 in writing and at least 19 in all other sections; Pearson Test of English - 63 with no less than 59 for each item in the Communicative Skills section; Duolingo English Test (DET) - 120 with no less than 110 in literacy, conversation, and comprehension subscores and no less than 95 in production. (This lower production subscore applies to non-EU applicants only), Cambridge Proficiency Cert. - 176+ on Cambridge English scale with no less than 169 in each skill and use of English.
