Master the fundamentals of computing and software development for mobile applications and websites, along with core mathematical concepts. Complete a capstone project and gain real-world experience through a six-month industry placement (availability dependent). Develop practical programming abilities and sophisticated problem-solving methods in our specialized computer science facility (Eolas). First-year students have the unique advantage of pairing Computer Science with another Science discipline, broadening their academic perspective. Established in 1987, Maynooth University's Computer Science Department operates from the €20 million Eolas Building, a cutting-edge ICT center. Our modern labs and resources offer exceptional hands-on learning environments, with all programs combining theoretical instruction and practical sessions.
