The BCL program emphasizes hands-on learning and cultivating real-world legal competencies, while also offering chances to connect with professionals across the legal field. A standout feature is the Moot Court component, where students can hone courtroom techniques and experience legal proceedings firsthand. DCU boasts a dedicated Moot Court facility for simulated trials, allowing students to practice key skills like legal argumentation, evidence presentation, and witness examination. Graduates of DCU's BCL are well-equipped for legal careers, whether as solicitors or barristers, while the acquired skills also prove valuable in various non-legal professions. This BCL (Law and Society) qualification meets King's Inns accreditation standards.
Flexible duration options
Students can earn their BCL in three years, or opt for a fourth year to pursue international studies or undertake an INTRA work placement.
