The MRes Advanced Chemical Sciences program equips you with the knowledge and skills required to explore various facets of chemical sciences.
This curriculum spans diverse subjects, ranging from synthetic chemistry to nanotechnology, alongside training in analytical techniques and instrumentation. Following the coursework, you'll undertake an 18-month in-depth research project of your choosing, culminating in a Master's dissertation. Your academic journey will be tailored through an individualized learning plan, shaped by your academic background, interests, and career goals, with guidance from your supervisor and academic advisors. The program additionally features an XJTLU-JITRI collaborative supervision track, combining the expertise of XJTLU with Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute (JITRI) partners to foster deep industry-academia-research integration. Through this distinctive training approach—blending specialized coursework, industrial research experience, and dual supervision—we strive to develop versatile, innovative professionals with strong practical skills and a global outlook.

Top 100 of 2022 Shanghai Ranking or World-class universities or First-class disciplines (MoE, People's Republic of China): 75 percent or above (Weighted Average Mark)

UK upper second class honours (2:1) or equivalent
